[The shimmering hues of blue and whites almost blinded Kotetsu, but once the initial shock faded he found himself standing in the middle of a large ice rink. It was cold, so very cold. Kotetsu could literally see his breath before him in the form of a smoky mist.]

G-Geez! It's frickin' freezing here!

[Blowing into his shivering hands, Kotetsu paused once he saw a figure laying on the ice. At first, he swore his brown eyes were playing tricks on him. He couldn't make out the person's face but he could tell it was the silhouette of a girl.]

H-Hey?

[He called out to them but they didn't acknowledge him.]

Konnichiwa? Hello?

[A frustrated sigh escaped the old man's lips.]

Is this some kind of dream or somethin? This doesn't make any sense...

[Kotetsu let out a frustrated sigh as he made his approach towards the girl. Walking on ice is a tad tricky, so the poor guy nearly takes a dive a few times before he reaches the middle of the ice rink.]

Oi, girl! Can you hear me? Can you--Bwah?

[He trailed off immediately once the girl started to moan. She was wearing a purple skating leotard, one that had a little pink polka dots on it and a matching skirt. While the outfit was something typical that a child would wear, something about the colors and pattern reminded Kotetsu of someone.]

Polka...dots?

[Taking one step closer, suddenly the ceiling above the rink caves in and glass comes tumbling down on their heads.]

W-WHAT?! What the hell is goi---

[A terrible scream erupts from the girl once she raised her head upward. Her familiar bright brown eyes are filled with fear and tears streak down her delicate cheeks. The girl's hair moved erratically in the wind, with little glass shards now dotting her chestnut hued hair. Before, Kotetsu didn't recognize the child but now that her face was finally revealed to him; a sense of dread began to pool within his stomach.]

KAEEEEDE!

[Kaede looks back at him, her innocent eyes filled with such shock.]

OTOUSAAAAN!

[Reaching out her hand to him, Kotetsu almost reached it until several steel beams came crashing down on his little girl. Her blood spewed forth from the impact, splattering all across Kotetsu's shocked face. ]

K-Kaede...?

[He was standing in the middle of the ice rink with his hand still outstretched before him, pointing towards the rumble that claimed the life of his ten year old daughter. Frozen in that pose for a minute or two, Kotetsu suddenly fell to his knees. Kaede's blood dripped down his cheeks as he stared at the carnage before him with a haunted gaze. Unable to speak, unable to even cry, Kotetsu just sat there in a daze as his mind tried to process what happened to his baby girl.]

Right, right! No more wasting time!

[Lowering his visor again, Wild Tiger was back in action. He knew that he only had a few minutes to spare before his powers fade, so he has to act now. Tiger hoped his new found allies could keep up with him as he bolted down the street as quickly as he could.

He would've used his full powers to dart in-between the avenues but he didn't want to lose the two girls.]

Move it, ladies!!!!

[Bossy, isn't he? Jupiter is definitely going to zap him a few times.]

Let's go!

[Mercury fits her pace to Wild Tiger's, running quicker than her own normal speed, spurred on by the need to keep up and not lag behind. To pull her own weight. To prove her words that she wouldn't be in the way.

Running this way makes her breaths come fast, but she keeps on and doesn't seem to tire herself overmuch; senshi endurance is a blessing.]

Don't be rude. We're working with you, not answering to you.

Huh?

[Now that was unexpected! Tiger wouldn't have ever guessed that these girls would be able to keep up with him. They were running around town in heels and skirts, not track clothes.]

Impress--YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWCH!!!!!!!!!!!!

[Right then and there, poor Tiger was electrocuted by the green one while dressed from head to two in steel. That wasn't a pleasant experience, not at all.]

[He turned around and pointed his index finger at her accusingly.]

Respect your elders! I've been fighting crime longer than you've been alive! I'm a veteran at this kind of stuff, so you two are just sidekicks!

[Letting out a huff, he was about to continue down the street until he spotted several ducks nearby.]

Eh?

[ Rei had seen Makoto and Ami leave in a hurry, and after seeing Kotetsu's feed on her communicator, she understood why. Telling Minako and Usagi that she was going out to help, she opted to take a different route towards Kotetsu's location.

He may have been kind of a moron, but he was still her friend, and she was going to help out.

She was headed towards them the opposite way, and she came across the ducks around the same time they did. ] Mars Flame Sniper!!

[ The group of evil yellow bathtub toys were incinerated instantly. ]

[Mercury's face hardens. It's a sharp reminder, and she uses it as a lesson immediately.]

Mars is right. We need to focus on the real enemy here. [Her eyes stay fixed on the mecha] We can't be slowed down by you taking the time to insult us.

Still, it's better to work together to cover more ground. Can you keep up from now on?

We've been doing this for thousands of years. Don't interfere.

N-Nani!?

[Tiger didn't know what to think when suddenly flames engulfed the streets. Another girl appeared, this time a teenage girl dressed in all red. She wore the same weird uniform as the other two girls, but she seemed more focused than the others.]

She really has the right idea.

[He mumbled to himself after Mercury sped off ahead.]

Oi, okay! We can work to--AH!

[Poor Tiger nearly jumped out of his suit once Jupiter came near. The thunder girl was probably the scariest one out of the bunch. She had the same powers as fellow hero, Dragon Kid, but she wasn't hardly as patient as the little heroine. Unsure what to make of the thunder girl, Tiger came to a solemn realization.

They need to work together.]

...Alright, it's time to win this!

[Ignoring whatever conflicting emotions he might have of being forced to rely on these strangers, Tiger leap into the fray without any hesitation. He started hammering away at the little ducks, literally crushing each one until there was nearly nothing left.]

This is for that stupid dream, you damn duck!

[He growled.]

[ Mars waited for Mercury to catch up to her position, and fell into step beside her, glancing over her shoulder at the man in the mech. ] Who's that?

[Mercury hurried alongside Mars, spent only a few seconds to catch her breath, and nodded.]

He's called 'Wild Tiger'; he was going to help us go after our friend who was attacked. It may be related to the other illusions lately.

He's an idiot.

We need to find Kotetsu-san, and this self-proclaimed hero is--

[Wild Tiger stopped briefly in his assault to shake his fist at the "Amazon".]

I'm NOT an idiot! Quit with the name callin' already! I'm getting angry!

[The hero let's out a grumpy "Hmph!" before continuing with the duck massacre. It was almost a shame that they had to slaughter such adorable little toys, but Tiger knew it had to be done.

However, just when he was about to destroy a few more ducks; Tiger nearly rushed right into a brick wall when the green girl said his REAL name.]

W-W-WHAAAAAAATTTTT?!

[He was stared at the girl in pure disbelief behind that metallic helmet of his.]

H-How...did you...what? Ahh...?

AH!?

[He's been figured out?!]

Enough!

[Cue spotlight up high. Camera pans upwards to a girl in a sailor fuku, orange skirt with a blue front bow. Orange heels place neatly next to each other, poised and ready to go. On her face was a familiar red mask, obscuring her eyes.]

We shouldn't be fighting!

[Dramatic finger point.]

Our enemies are these adorable ducks! We need to band together and defeat them, not antagonize each other! We are heroes, soldiers of love and justice!

[The girl jumps down off her high perch, landing with grace and ease. The mask is flung away, and Sailor Venus points at Wild Tiger.]

Enough of your shenanigans! Tell us who you really are behind that mask!

[Her turn.]

Mercury Aqua Rhapsody!

[She plays an arpeggio on a glistening harp, and her water attacks the ducks - to little effect; they enjoy water, after all. She frowns, and the water freezes, finally breaking her targets into pieces.]

Venus! Let's all go together!

I'm ready.

[With his secret identity now compromised, Wild Tiger felt rather distrustful of this group of magical girls. He had no idea who they were, but they certainly seem to know him. This worried Tiger greatly.]

You ladies better be the "good guys"--I mean, "good girls".

[Letting out a frustrated grumble, the hero wen back to work. There were just a few of the little ducklings left, and Wild Tiger easily handled most of them thanks to the Sailor Senshi's awesome magic.]

Phew!

[He yanked off his helmet and took off his black mask with an exhausted sigh.]

And here I used to think rubber duckies were cute...

Waah, Kotetsu-san? You're this masked hero?!

[The girls could easily notice the love in Venus' eyes. Ha! Usagi didn't have to be the only one who had a hero to come rescue her!]

[Then Jupiter was... interested in Kotetsu? For just a second, she glanced away.

Right. There wasn't time to worry about that right now. There was something more important to think of instead. Business-like, her voice is firm.]

We need to make sure none of the ducks are still nearby. Let's not get too comfortable yet.

It must be fate! We'll have to work even harder. We can do it, Venus!

[He stared at Sailor Venus and Jupiter with a look of mild shock and awe. Were they REALLY talking about romance stuff in the middle of a fight?

Women. They are so strange sometimes.]

...Ya know, we still have a battle to win.

[Completely serious now - which was odd, all things considering. Venus, just like Minako, seemed to turn the seriousness on and off. Being a Libra seemed to fit her.]

We'll take it from here. [She winked at Kotetsu, flashing him the V is for Victory sign.

[Ami, of course, remained serious throughout. But neither did she reprimand her friends. Instead, as soon as Venus spoke, she gave a crisp nod.]

Please understand, Tiger-san. We're used to working together. We can do this.

That's right.

We'll also do this for Kaede. After what you went through, it's best you rest. Let us show you what we can do.

[Were these girls seriously going to handle all these "ducks" by themselves? By the way they were speaking, it seemed as if all of them were prepared for war. It was...interesting to say the least.

Kotetsu couldn't help but feel somewhat embarrassed right now, but it was the good kind of embarrassment.]

[Venus nodded her head at Kotetsu, then turned her attention towards the leftover ducks.]

Everyone, I think a little overkill is in order.

[Venus brought her gloved hand to her lips, kissing it like she was going to blow a kiss. The golden heart appeared, which she grasped tightly. She flung it toward their enemies, calling out her attack.]
