[]It had been a trying few weeks, fumbling through his existence unable to remember who he was or what he’d been striving for but that was all over now. The fog in his mind had lifted and he could recall what had transpired clearly. There must have been a purpose behind it .. Other than Hades had merely tired of hearing about Yuuki so frequently. Either way, it was of little consequence now.. Yuuki was back. His prime objective would always be to protect her... as complicated as that now seemed the situation was still infinitely preferable to their own world.

Taking a moment to himself, he couldn‘t help but think about how much everyone had tried to help him during that period. Belle with her invitation to stay with her and her partner until he could recall where his own home was, Billy with his suggestions, Kanda.. (well Kanda did try to help in some fashion but it was only so he could learn more about a different matter..) and most surprising of all Rima.

Rima, knowing so much more than she was ever intended to learn about the pureblood had the most to lose should he recover.. And yet.. Something had compelled her not to leave him wandering the streets of Traverse Town. She had done so much for him during his time of need.. It seemed a pity to have to break the news to her. Meeting Yuuki at the party seemed like a dream. He‘d thought her only a sister then and she had bravely held herself together during that reunion. She said she‘d stay by his side… ah, but thanks to him they were entangled in some messy business.

It was worth it. For her safety. Finally, pushing these thoughts to the side, he picked up the communicator and switched it on.]
